Ngero Ngwasi Guelor
From: Nyiragongo,
Democratic Republic of Congo
Age: 26
My name is Ngero Ngwasi Guelor, I was born in the Congo on the 10th of October 1993, in Kibumba on the territory of Nyiragongo in a Kalangala town that is like a quiet village where my parents Ngwasi and Magdaleine own a field. I spent my childhood with my brothers and sisters and went to elementary school at l'EP Mikeno in Kibumba. I am the fifth child of the family. The war and the anxiety from the bombing on the territory made me leave when National Congress for the Defence of the People (CNDP) raised the territory and caused many threats and deaths. Many families lost a lot of goods and left their fields and other goods to save their lives. See, even this territory which is ours, that is going to be a battlefield, is why, we have all decided to leave our homeland towards the years 2007-2008 in which the rebels invaded the territory. In this pe4riod of war, we have gone through a life so difficult, during which we have spent catastrophic events in this period.
Into 2018 we have thought a lot about our daily lives, from lack of work. Luckily, towards the month of April towards May, we heard about an organized course in photography and computing. We have now decided to pursue this course to further enrich our lives and learn about photography. And now that we have just become certified in first level of photography in CAMME RDC from the program Lens on Life and we (all) know how many times photography is useful to us.
